Hello! I'm Sam. I enjoy making playful objects based on basic engineering principles. Like a piano staircase made with actual xylophone keys and a laser pointer that plays music. Please check out my portfolio for more work.
I currently work as a hardware engineer at Tulip Interfaces.
I've worked as a researcher in the Tangible Media Group in the MIT Media Lab on Programmable Droplets, shape-changing pillows, and inflatable foods. I've also done work in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) for Professor Steven Leeb.
When I'm not studying I enjoy painting public art and water color and playing with my cat, Sesame.
